28 Videos Of Kevin Richardson Dancing That Are Sure To Make You Happy

The Backstreet Boys have officially wrapped another leg of the DNA tour (with the promise of more to come). We have showed up, sold out a large number of arenas, posted endlessly about our love for this tour, and are beyond prepared for more.

As with every tour, there are multiple things that we will forever associate with it. We’ve already written about Brian nailing vocals on the Euro leg and Nick’s performances of “The Way It Was” making us weak, but you guys, we are NOT sleeping on Kevin F**king Richardson and THOSE MOVES.

Ever since the Backstreet Boys’ Homecoming concert on television in the 90s, we’ve been obsessed with our very own groove master. The man can GET IT! After realizing that many of you felt the same way, we couldn’t help but ask for your best videos of Kevin getting down on the DNA tour.

As always, you’ve all delivered and this has turned into one of our favorite posts. We think you’ll agree. The eldest Backstreet Boy is likely how even Stella got her groove back, ya feel us?

One thing is for sure – we never want to live in a world where we don’t have the honor to dance with Kevin!

A Note From The Backstreet Boys’ DNA Circle: Here’s What It’s Really Like

Since the In A World Like This tour, Backstreet Boys fans have been given the opportunity to be closer than ever to our favorite band. General admission spots, more commonly referred to by fans as “the pit”, have been a staple since the 2014 tour, carrying through the Boys’ Larger Than Life Vegas residency, so we were thrilled to see the circle built into the DNA stage.

Please note that we’re not here to discuss the pricing or the way things played out with packages and whatnot. If you couldn’t afford the circle or couldn’t stand for a long period of time, we get it. From circle to nosebleeds, there’s not a single fan that shows up for the Backstreet Boys on tour that is better than any other.

But we want to talk a little bit about one of the most beautiful aspects of the DNA Circle.

Admittedly, we thought the circle would be more like the Vegas stage – low and loaded with Backstreet interaction. Would we still be able to see everything if we were under 5’7″? Would we be able to reach their hands? Would it be crowded? Would it be worth it? How do we go from the pits of IAWLT and BSB Vegas to this, which seemed to be a step backward?

We had all of these thoughts.

And we’re here to tell you — we were wrong.

Not only is there LARGE AMOUNTS OF SPACE in the circle – you can literally run circles or lay down and take a nap, whatever suits you – but it’s a whole new experience that we weren’t prepared for.

Because this time, the “pit” felt like that Backstreet Boys had chosen to make us a part of the show. It felt like this tour is for us and equally ours all at once. For those of us who stood in summer heat of the “fan pit” for multiple concerts at outdoor amphitheaters during the IAWLT tour and returned time and time again to Vegas, cramming into both sides of the stage to be included in an unforgettable energy, the circle experience felt easy.

And it felt thoughtful.

We had the space to dance. We had the space to run around hugging our friends before the show started. And when the lights went down, we had enough space to back up and take it all in. When they jumped down onto the main stage, our fangirl hearts felt like they were exploding into the confetti that we would soon be showered with.

Then they started coming down onto the circle “sides” and all of our worries about the stage being too high were gone because Kevin, Howie, AJ, Nick and Brian are bending and stretching to touch every last person that’s reaching for them throughout the show. All the while, they can be seen by every person in the arena, from floor to ceiling.

When they finally made it to the “second stage”, we saw what they were seeing.

The view…well, it’s some sort of magic.

For years, we’ve wondered where the Backstreet Boys get their energy. We’ve wondered why they get emotional mid-concert. Standing in the circle, we got our answers.

We all joke about it not being such a bad view – to be staring at the back of the Backstreet Boys for some of the show – but to be honest, more than a few of us wondered if it was the *best* view.

Then you see it. You see Kevin, Howie, Brian, AJ and Nick standing at the front of the stage, while thousands of people, floor to ceiling, scream for them. Scream with us.

You hear it. Every song you’re singing along to being sung from high, low and every side of the arena. For nearly two hours, you get glimpse of what the Backstreet Boys have been in and out of for 26 years. For those of us who traveled city to city for lesser known tours in the past, the feeling…the vision…is surely something that will make you swallow your emotions when you stop to take it in.

It felt like a warm hug from our favorite band.

As the five men continued to steadily circle around us from main stage to second stage and the in between for the whole show, there was excitement, a warmth and suddenly, the circle felt like it was a hug. The music wrapped us in its familiar tones, the Boys were present and performing but also including fans in every single moment and in those hours, in that circle, we were protected. Inside that circle, we were protected from the outside – the people who told us to stop wasting money on a band, the real life problems we might have been facing earlier that day, the anything-but-wonderful thoughts that we sabotage ourselves with. There is a comfort and a peace and a euphoria and a circle full of memories that will no doubt make this a chapter we won’t soon forget.

And an overwhelming sense of gratitude.

Building a circle in the center of the stage seems like a perfect way for the Backstreet Boys, ever grateful for their fans and expressing such repeatedly during their show, to take it a step further by giving us an opportunity to be as close as possible. Not only are those in the circle as close as possible, but they are a focal point of the stage and the show itself. It is not lost on us that it’s just another way of the Backstreet Boys backing what they’ve always said – that they would be nothing without their fans.

And, of course, the feeling is mutual. Where would we be without the Backstreet Boys? Not with these memories and moments to last a lifetime.

Everything has come full [DNA] Circle.

— Please Note —

This post is not written to determine the “level” of any fan. You can be in the nosebleeds or you can not see this tour at all and still be a huge, loyal, ride or die fan. In this post, I have used the phrase “some of the biggest fans” because there are people in the circle that are casual fans – ones who missed the past tours, albums, etc. – that might not get the same feelings. Before you come at us for this post, please understand that it is not meant to insult anyone who can’t afford it. This show is made to be seen from all angles and if you can swing it, please see it!

Also, this is purely subjective. This is how I felt in my experience and I know many who feel the same way. If you didn’t, that’s okay too! We get asked daily if we think the DNA circle is worth it, so here it is. For me, it was.

5 Things You Need To Know About The Backstreet Boys’ Hawaiian Prizeo Charity Campaign

From hospital visits to sending love to a fan who was too sick to make it to her BSB concert, Kevin, Howie, AJ, Brian and Nick are really giving back while out on their massive DNA World TourWhile most of these instances have been in the cities that they are visiting, the group has come together to make a huge effort toward one charity that will benefit the homeless in NYC while also involving fans!

Not only are they involving fans on the giving back, but they are also showing their gratitude by giving everyone the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hang out with the band in Hawaii. Sound good to you? Keep reading!

1. For as little as $10, you have a chance to win an AMAZING trip to Hawaii!

Every $10 you donate to the Backstreet Boys’ Prizeo charity campaign grants you 100 entries into a giveaway for the grand prize – a trip to Hawaii and a luau with the Boys themselves! If your entry is randomly selected (just by donating!!) you are entitled to two VIP tickets to the Backstreet Boys concert in Honolulu, HI, on in November, Meet & Greet before the show, a seat at the Backstreet Boys table for a special luau, a goodie bag full of official merch AND roundtrip airfare and hotel accommodations for you and a guest.

And you don’t have to do anything but donate! The more entries, the better chance you have to win. Make sure you scroll down the side to see all of your options.

2. Hawaii isn’t the only thing you can (potentially) get your hands on.

Like we said, make sure you scroll to see all of your options. While the grand prize is obviously the trip to Hawaii with all the Backstreet bells and whistles, there are other things you can reward yourself with in the meantime while you wait to see if you won or not.

$75 gives you 750 entries + the DNA album ($500, if you want it autographed plus 6000 entries) and $100 gets you 1000 entries and an exclusive BSB tee. A VERY limited number of Nick Carter personalized video messages were available and sold out quickly. Keep checking back for more “deals”!

3. The campaign was inspired by a viral video.

Remember the subway car full of passengers in NYC breaking out into a lovely rendition of “I Want It That Way” together last month? That video was the inspiration for this campaign to happen!

Joel Wertheimer, a civil rights attorney and former Obama associate staff secretary, filmed the sing-a-long, a warm moment among usually busy and bustling passengers looking to get somewhere quick in the city that never sleeps. When the video went viral, Joel took the platform to educate tweeters about Coalition For The Homeless, which benefits the less fortunate in New York.

One of those tweeters was Nick Carter, who revealed when the campaign started, that he saw Joel’s call to action, researched the charity, and found that it resonated with him. Not only did it resonate with him, but with the group as well….and that is how this campaign was born!

A joyful moment in time leading to even better moments for more people? We LOVE it!

4. All proceeds go to Coalition For The Homeless (the best part)!

It’s even easier to give back when you know that the giving is going to something great and the Coalition For The Homeless is just that. The Coalition for the Homeless is the nation’s oldest advocacy and direct service organization helping homeless men, women and children. The program helps more than 3500 men, women and children daily who are facing immediate issues and helps them get back on their feet and stay there.

The Coalition assists people in everything from knowing their rights as human beings to finding food and shelter to helping people escape scary situations and has been doing so for more than 35 years. Whether you are in the NYC area or not, take time to read about their mission and feel free to join in taking more action to help out!

5. You don’t have to donate to help out and join the BSB in doing good.

Don’t have the extra money to donate right now? That’s okay! All you have to do is spread the word. The more people that know about this campaign and the charity in general, the better for everyone. Doing good is not always defined by donating financially. We urge you to check out organizations and charities in your own backyard where you can volunteer — it will do your heart a load of good. ❤

If you plan on entering / donating to this campaign,

you have until 10/17 to do so!

Just by giving, you’ve already won.

27 Videos of Nick Carter Singing “The Way It Was” That You Need To See Right Now

If you’ve been following along on the Backstreet Boys’ DNA tour so far, then you’ve probably already declared one or two parts of the show as your favorite. [If you haven’t been following along and would like to stay spoiler-free, leave here now. Read this post instead.]

Far and wide across social media platforms, there are a few performances that keep getting talked about – the Backstreet Boys performing “New Love” and the one that you came here for. Don’t act like you don’t know.

When DNA was released, fans poured in with love for Nick Carter’s vocals on “The Way It Was” (Sidenote: Can we also talk about how gooooddd Kevin hits us with that “YOU. KNOW. I still want you baaaaabay…” at some point?). When he teased that he may sing it at his acoustic event in Vegas in April, fans were drooling at the very idea of it.

Then tour began.

And every Backstreet Boy sang a new song.

And there was Nick Carter… giving everyone exactly – E X A C T L Y – what they wanted. Some didn’t even know they wanted it, but here we are with an entire post dedicated to his solo performance of a SNIPPET of “The Way It Was”.

Quickly after tour began and fans tweeted videos of the performance, we were flooded with drool…er…tweets from people proclaiming that they couldn’t get enough and they would retweet the performances anytime they saw them.

Something about his voice. Something about his charm. There is something about Nick singing one minute of this song that sends some kind of gentle wave of euphoria into the crowd (in person and on the interwebs) that people can not get enough of. Hell, at one point Carter himself takes a seat on the stage in a meditation-like pose and we’re pretty sure that he can’t even handle himself and that song.

“The Way It Was” is our own personal Backstreet marijuana in a Nick Carter flavor and that’s the way it is.

And now, for your own personal eargasmic, fellow fan-mily members have shared their videos of the performance in multiple cities. Enjoy!

ICYMI: Brian Littrell Is Nailing It On The ‘DNA’ Tour

We’ve never been shy about the fact that we root for every single one of the Backstreet Boys during their highs and lows in the past 4 years that WHOTB has been created. Obviously, the celebrations and triumphs have been our favorite moments and we’d be remiss if we didn’t acknowledge this one.

Since he opened up about his vocal struggles in the Backstreet Boys 2015 documentaryShow ‘Em What You’re Made Of, we’ve been cheering for Brian a little louder, literally and figuratively. We’ve sang along with him during performances and watched him steadily progress over the past few years. Every note he’s ever sung has made us grateful that he is a Backstreet Boy and that we’ve been blessed to have him in our lives as 1/5 of our favorite band, but knowing now how hard he has worked to reach those notes again – the ones we unknowingly took for granted – has made us even more elated to hear them, even more thankful for the hard work that all of these men put in, and beyond joyful that Brian Littrell is still the fighter we’ve always known he was.

Stay safe, stay well and we hope to see you in 2021!

We are officially in the Backstreet Boys DNA era! Can you believe it?

With every new era comes new questions, new things to figure out logistically, and, of course, a new show, setlist, wardrobe, memorable moments, etc.

Just like we did with BSB Vegas, we’ll be with you every step of the way. This post will be segmented and updated as needed with all the links to posts about tour, any new things you need to know and answers to the questions we get the most of. We won’t have all of the answers immediately, but we’ll find them for you when we don’t!

As always, if you have a question we didn’t answer, please feel free to CONTACT US!

**FYI: This particularly post will remain spoiler free. We’re not too into posting major details about shows, but if we do, we’ll do it here. Consider this a safe space.**

***VIP Meet and Greets are not currently on sale for the North American leg and may vary for upcoming dates. These details were for the first leg on the tour and have been left here for reference.***

– The Wonderful Union Meet and Greet **DOES NOT INCLUDE** a concert ticket.

– All Meet and Greet packages and upgrades include ONE professional photo with the Backstreet Boys, taken by their photographer, that will be uploaded to their website usually 24-72 hours later. You can find the photos here.

– Your photo with the Backstreet Boys will be individual – not in a group – unless you have a friend / friends you want in your photo. In that case, each person still has to have purchased a meet and greet. It is up to you who you want in your photo basically.

– Cell phones / selfies are not permitted. We would not suggest bringing gifts, props, etc.

– The current North American leg of the DNA tour does off a DNA Circle PACKAGE with meet and greet. Meet and Greets will be sold separately at a later date.

– Once VIP is sold out, it is SOLD OUT.

The VIP Club / Lounge / etc. sold by Ticketmaster for the Summer 2020 North American leg at certain venues **DOES NOT** include meet and greet and has nothing to do with the Boys themselves. It is, in most cases, quicker access to food, beverage and restrooms.

++ The Show ++

– The show is 32 songs — more can be found here about the details that we do know!

– The show runs 1 hour and 50 minutes.

– You can exit the DNA Circle throughout the show. The entrance / exit is built into the stage. Trust us.

– There is plenty of space inside the DNA Circle and interactions are similar to that, if not better than, in the pit of IAWLT tour and Vegas.

– All dates and tickets for the tour can be found here.

– As questions are asked and the shows begin, we will have more updates here.

++ FAQ ++

All of the questions that you ask and we answer via tweets or email, we’ll also address here.

++ Odds and Ends ++

– Be flexible! This is a new era, new album, new tour, new everything and everyone is learning. Things will inevitably change as things are worked out – it has happened with every tour thus far and will continue to happen. Don’t sabotage your own time.

– BE CAREFUL! With a tour as large as this, there are scalpers and scammers who are looking to trick fans into “a deal”. If the tickets are far overpriced or offered at a low price, verify that they are actual, real tickets. Again, keep in mind that the only M&G options are through Ticketmaster and Wonderful Union — you can not purchase them anywhere else.

4 Things Happening For The Backstreet Boys Right Now That You Need To Know About

What aren’t the Backstreet Boys doing right now? They’re super busy and, as fans, so are we. We couldn’t ask for more, honestly!

If you’ve been out of the loop and feel like you’re drowning in a sea of unorganized Backstreet information (as Kristie says, “I can’t even keep up with life”), we’re here for you. Here are all the things that Kevin, Brian, Howie, AJ and Nick require your attention for at this very moment…

1. The Last Few BSB Vegas Shows

At the time we are writing this, there are only 6…SIX…S I X… Larger Than Life Vegas shows left. Time flies, you guys! Remember when the residency was only 16ish shows? Remember when Lyric wasn’t even BORN yet? Remember when we (some of you) were worried the dancers would detract from the Boys and now we follow them on Instagram? There’s so many memories and experiences wrapped up in the past two years… but that’s for a later post.

Catch them while you can.

2. BSB: The Experience

If you haven’t heard yet (where have you been??), the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles has an exhibit called BSB: The Experience that will walk you through some of the coolest memorabilia, artifacts, old wardrobe, and never-before-seen pieces of Backstreet history. In addition to the “stuff”, there are also several interactive parts, including a confessional, a hologram of the Boys themselves and so much more!

The exhibit runs from now through September 2nd.

If you missed their Q&A with JoJo Wright prior to the opening, you NEED to watch it. Thanks to our friends at The Darkside, you can!

3. A Permanent Stain (er…Handprint) At Planet Hollywood

To kick off the end of their Vegas residency and mark their place in Vegas history, Planet Hollywood invited the Backstreet Boys to join in their exclusive collection of celebrity handprints. Not only did Kevin, Brian, Howie, Nick and AJ put their hands in cement, they also donated $180,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of Southern Nevada. Legends!

Check out more photos from the event here.

4. DNA Tour Kicking Off SOON!

The Backstreet Boys may only have two weeks left in Vegas, but they only have three before they head over to Lisbon, Portugal to kick off their MASSIVE DNA world tour!

New songs! New choreography! NEW NEW NEW! We can’t breathe, can you? (Is this why the Backstreet Boys have two songs by that title because they know that we CAN NOT?) If you can’t wait to a sneak peek, check Nick and Brian’s Instagram pages for little blips inside rehearsals!

While we will miss the residency and all it has done for us, we are SO thrilled for all the new things and for everyone to get a chance to see them one (or three or fifteen). Of course, we’ll be updating on all the things. Follow us!

If you haven’t gotten your tickets (or think you need more), click here.

(And before anyone asks, we don’t know / haven’t heard anything about DNA tour VIP Upgrades, but when / if we do, you guys will be FIRST to know!)
